It gives me immense happiness when people read books – Madhav Dwivedi
This is exciting for me. I haven’t interviewed a single author for my blog before. It was all in planning. I had been waiting for a right person all along and I didn’t have to look any further because I had always been chatting with him on Instagram.He is a simple, kind-hearted and a warm person to talk to. He is a connoisseur of books. Books are his way of spreading happiness and that’s what he has been doing on Bookstagram, an Instagram community dedicated and run by book lovers. He has created ripples in the community with the multiple giveaways he has been co-hosting. And if you have already guessed who he is then here’s a small interview of him.

Firstly, thank you so much for agreeing to this interview. You have created ripples in the Bookstagram community by sponsoring tons of giveaways. Can you tell me what is your aim behind these GAs?
I always believed that books and knowledge should be shared with everyone. I was giving books to friends, as I always do. Few friends suggested me that I should do giveaways too.
How were you introduced to Bookstagram?
I was an avid reader, reviewer, always, so I made many good and serious books lovers friends on Instagram. From there my bookstagram journey started. Here I love discussing books with books lovers. Bookstagram community is now as popular as the Goodreads community.
Is Bookstagram the only way you spread the bookish love? I have heard that you donate books too. Is that true?
Ya, I gift/donate lots of books. I am doing this for a long time. It gives me immense happiness when people read books.
How did you inculcate the habit of reading? What genre of books do you love to read?
I developed the habit of reading since childhood, my father used to buy lots of children books for me and my sister. I read all types of genres but I love non- fiction books more.
You have a unique thought behind book donation that you shared with me.
Ya, it’s better to be book addict than mobile, drinking, smoking addiction.
Who are your favorite authors?
William Dalrymple, Ramchandra Guha, and Shashi Tharoor.
You are a spiritual seeker. What msg do you have to give to fellow spiritual seekers?
For spiritual seekers, I will say always have faith in God. Always think positive. Stay away from negativity.
What message do you have for book lovers?
For book lovers, I will say read more and more books. Try to gift books to those who are not capable of buying books.
