Meet our first Member

Siddhi Palande.

She is a Mother,Reader and an Author too!

Books had always been her dearest. When someone would ask her what are your hobbies she would only have one reply - I read. "To be frank, I never read as a child. The household conditions didn't permit me to buy any fancy looking reading book but father made me read the editorials daily," she says. But then she would look with awe at those colourful Vikas story books of her peers. "After persistent nagging my mother gave in and bought one for me. I treasured it for a long time." Then came a day when her mother got her an admission in school library. That's when it all began for her. Soon her friends got her hooked to M&Bs and her father got her to reading all sorts of non-fictional books he had, including the Constitution Of India!.It was her dream to pen a novel and at the age of 26, in year 2017 she did get to self-publish her debut novella, Beyond The Veil-The Journey Of An Indian Girl. Bookstagram India gave a positive review to her endeavor. And that's how she came across the Bookstagram community of India. "I absolutely love interacting with all the members. The idea behind #MumbaiBookstagram was solely because I wanted to connect with #Bookstagrammers of #Mumbai. Happy that it happened. Lots of love to every reader. Read and enlighten that's how we pass the torch.
