Mumbai: After the huge success of Mumbaibookstagram Bingo, Mumbaibookstagram came up with yet another unique, one-of-a-kind, never seen before, reading challenge called as Mumbaibookstagram Word Search.
The challenge that ran for an entire month had the readers engaged by giving them a chance to chose from multiple words given in the word search grid and make their TBR accordingly. The response given by the readers for this word search reading challenge was overwhelming. "Such was the response that we had to specially meet up draw up grids to evaluate the winners of the contest," said Siddhi Palande, the co-founder of Mumbaibookstagram.
If Bingo was Siddhi's brainchild, Word Search was Vidhya Thakkar's baby. The idea struck her as a eureka moment.
"Word cookies, my favorite game gave birth to Mumbaibookstagram Word Search. We kept the challenge for an entire month because I wanted to utilise each day of August. Many things were on my mind but to make it easy I thought it better if reader chose what they want to read. So that was the idea."
Much like it's predecessor, Bingo, Word Search too was unique and new reading challenge to the Bookstagram community. "Mumbaibookstagram is like a baby taking small steps at a time. But we both ( Siddhi and I) strive to bring contests, reading challenges that are out of the box," says Vidhya.
"That's true, it is never about just having a page representing a city. It is always about doing things differently and getting the readers from around the world engaged," chirps Siddhi.
The word search was followed by a quick word searching contest which was again a eureka moment. This again received a great response from the readers wherein readers went on to search about 50 to 55 words from the grid!
The word search was supported by HarperCollins India and independent authors -
